Controversy over the recent malayalam release "Celluloid" is getting wider with the latest entry to the edition is renowned filmmaker Adoor Gopalakrishnan, who pointed out that efforts done by Film Journalist Chelangatt Gopalakrishnan was purposefully rejected by the authorities on those days.
On his words on introduction towards the biography of J.C.Daniel, written by Chelangatt Gopalakrishnan, communicate that there was the time when the film fraternity, the press and even the authorized officials in the government were not ready to accept the determined attempt made by Chelangatt Gopalakrishnan.
Malayatoor Ramakrishnan headed committee was formed, to decide the issue of father figure.
